At one point the Hall held an extensive library of books, so it was here that the public held debating competitions plus a billiard room, for the gentlemen.

Some other interesting point are:

- The first meeting of the Scone Municipal Council was also held on the 17th July 1888.
- Banjo Paterson preformed in the hall.
- The hall had many uses in the first world warit was used as a drill hall for the training of soldiers. In recent times it has held debutants balls, it was used as a dance academy / School of the Arts.
